Description
This is module number one for the neuro-circulatory systems. These are complex chapters in ICD-10, and we’ll be taking a pretty deep dive into these DRGs and their coding and documentation requirements.
Our objectives are to review some of the key terms to capture everything we need to know to code in these complex chapters, such as acuity, type, manifestation, cause and effect, and etiology.
We’re also going to identify some CCM/CC combination codes. We’re going to look at code capture for CCs, manifestations, and other complications of severity of illness.
We’re also going to look at linking severity of illness for accurate data, quality, performance reporting and DRG assignment.
