Description
This is module number two for obstetrics, trimesters, neonatal newborn systems.
These are complex chapters in ICD-10, and we’ll be taking a really deep dive into looking at these DRGs, their coding and documentation requirements.
We’re going to look at the hierarchy of the OB and neonatal DRGs.
These DRGs changed a few years ago, and we got many more categories and we’re going to look at all of those during this session.
We’re also going to look at some specific combinations of diagnoses and procedures and how they pertain to certain MS-DRGs, as well as APR-DRGs.
We’re going to look at some conditions that will impact DRG assignment in both obstetrics and neonatal.
We’re going to also look at some of the CC and, MCC codes that impact APR-DRGs versus the, codes that impact MS-DRGs.
And finally, we are going to discuss validation for linking PCS code assignments for accurate DRG and data reporting and how important those are.
