Description
This is module number four: codes and guidelines for COVID-19.
Our objectives are to understand COVID-19 signs and symptoms, definitions, ICD-10 and PCS codes related to COVID-19, identify conditions that assign and sequence the ICD-10 code decisions.
We’ll review COVID-19 guidelines and clinic advice in appropriate scenarios.
We’ll also assign time-based codes for mechanical ventilation and ECMO, and look at those DRGs and discuss data collection needs for now in the future.
Finally, we’re going to take a quick look at the AHIMA published CDI query Topics for COVID-19.
