This is module number three for the cardio-circulatory intervention course.
In this module we’re going to review some cardiac procedures, PCS and guidelines.
Our objectives for this session are to look at the structure of some of the important cardiac procedure DRGs, as well as some of the cluster codes for PCS.
We’ll review the official coding guidelines for cardio-circulatory procedures, and most important of all, we’re going to look at some example, procedure cases for sequencing guideline application and MS-DRG and APR-DRG impact.
Finally, we’re going to go on to talk a little bit more about some resources and tools that you will find helpful.
